On the one hand, high mechanical stresses are applied to these equipments, and on the other hand, they are exposed to unfavorable environmental conditions, such as ingot temperatures above 1200 degrees Celsius and environmental pollution caused by iron oxide dust particles. In this situation, the continuous and non-stop production of the production line reveals the urgent need for a planned and continuous maintenance system. The experts of the repair and maintenance unit have played a role in the two branches of mechanical repairs and electrical repairs in order to reduce production line stoppages, and the decreasing trend of production line stoppages over the past years confirms the effectiveness of the measures taken in this sector. And the analysis of stoppages in the time frames of one month, three months, six months and annually forms the basis of the planning and corrective actions of this department.
